26 weeks

I'm 26 weeks (Tessa was born at 26 weeks, 2days) and my ultrasound today showed that there was just slightly more shortening of the cervix* than 2 weeks ago. Yes - it is still shorter, but not "imminent delivery" short.

I feel totally relieved. I've been trying not to act nervous but I spent all last night dreaming about being in the hospital about to deliver a 2nd baby at 26 weeks. Subconscious anxiety strikes again.

I have a maternity shirt that says "Coming this SPRING" and apparently that is 6 weeks away. I wear it a lot.

I hope the baby can read.

*It is now 1.7 cm long if you are THAT curious.

no only read....but read backwards...and maybe even upside down. That is one talented baby you have there.

You go girl. Keep up the good work. (Did I miss something "important" the other day from your phone call... sorry!)

Nice job. I'm so proud of your cervix. So you can tell I've been up all night when I think, "How can the baby be only 1.7 cm!! That's ridiculous! She can't survive if she's that tiny." But she will be fine. Big and cookin' in your nice little oven.

No news is good news!! I had meant to have your present sent to you so you could open it at 26 weeks +2 days but I'm a total slacker!! I'm going to try and get it out to you this month!! Love ya!

Emily - so great to read about how you are doing. Keep taking good care of yourself! I want to be a great aunt later not sooner!

Glad to hear all went well. It sounds like you still need to be on bedrest right? Or am I wrong. Anyways, let us know what we can do to help.

That's great news. I'll hope for a little more than six weeks for you as well.;) Maybe twelve... you'll have made it farther than I ever did at that point.;)
