Blue Light Special

Once upon a time a family was enjoying being "normal." Then they went to the pediatrician, their new baby was diagnosed with severe jaundice and they got to visit the Special Care Nursery at their local hospital for a few days. (Time frame as of yet, undecided. Soo far 4 nights and counting...with a pretty good chance of coming home on Friday afternoon)

The Mom was pretty upset at this turn of events and was mad at the Universe.

The Dad manned the home front while Mom stayed over-night (x4) to feed Baby.

The Big Sister had fun playing at Friends' houses.

The Baby was totally blissed out under the tanning lights and didn't seem to mind one bit.

Meg DOES look like she's just chillin' in there. You should see if she's interested in a virgin margarita! ;) Just kidding.

I just know she's going to be fine in just a few days. My neice came home with a bili-bed (that looked like a suitcase) that she had to spend most of her time in for about 2 weeks. She's been fine ever since.

Love you-good luck!

Ahhh, everyone gets jaundice. It still falls under the "normal" category in my opinion. Keep up the good work! I like the pictures of Meg, keep 'em coming!

I can just see this being practice for her teenage years....
Love you.

Maybe they'll let you get a tan too :)

Crystal, are you saying that we're too white?!! Or just Emily is too white? :-P I'm kidding, I gave up the battle long ago.

Like I told Emily this morning, "who needs reality TV?", we get so much drama around her in a week, people ought to pay money to come stay with us to see what the next big thing will be that rocks the boat.

Meg is a little trooper, following the example of her big sister being a trooper, she'll do great.

ARG... I can imagine the memories and heartache that this brings back. We'll pray that MEG will be all better soon and you can get back to your way of life...however un-normal it may be! We are blowing lots and lots of kisses and prayers your way!

aww man...maybe she wants to be like her big sister and spend some time in the special care nursery, or just start the stress on mom and dad early! :) hopefully she wont be in there long. I'm so glad that everything else about her is healthy!! she is adorable.

Can I just say how much I love the title you gave that post and the pictures....and then tell you how BAD I feel for getting even the eensiest amount of pleasure from your pain. I'm sorry this happened. It stinks. But I'm glad you're home now.
